🌊 QUAY FAIR DAY IS ALIVE ACROSS PENZANCE! 🌊
Today the harbour, the Quay and Penlee Park are bursting with music, colour and full tilt Golowan energy.
Harbour & Waterfront - there’s live music outside The Custom House with Sea
Shanty on the Quay, street performers along the Quay, the Folk Stage on the Harbour, and that unmistakable festival buzz rolling across the water.

Penlee Park - Both stages are running all day with a packed programme of music and performance, the perfect spot to relax under the trees and soak up the sunshine.

Wherrytown - The Model Boat Display is underway, and the Plaza Skate Jam is bringing high energy tricks, coaching and community stoke to the skatepark.

Golowan Marquee – Harbourside Car Park has a full weekend of live music

Morris Sides in St Anthony’s Gardens - the newly refurbished gardens are alive with bells, sticks and tradition: 11:00 – Tatters, Dartmoor, Carn Brea 12:00 – Pensans, Dartmoor, Wad 13:00 – Joint Dance 14:00 – Order of the Geep, Carn Brea, Tatters 15:00 – Lowenek, Wad, Dartmoor 16:00 – Pensans, Order of the Geep 17:00 – Lowenek, Wad, Order of the Geep

Buskers on the Quay Outside the Dry Dock, catch Darryl Carrington, Able Mable, and Pete Anderson, performing on the hour, every hour from 12pm.

Quay Fair Day is the beating heart of Golowan, wander, dance, cheer and soak up every moment.

🛹 QUAY DAY SKATE COMP – TODAY! 🛹
Wherrytown Skate Plaza | 10am–4pm | FREE ENTRY
The Half pipe has arrived and been set up! The Plaza is buzzing as we kick off the 2026 Quay Day Skateboard Competition, a full day of skating, coaching, music and community energy right on the seafront.
Here’s what’s happening on site today:
12pm – Registration opens (U16s need parent/guardian countersign + pads & helmets)
1pm – Half pipe warm ups + age/ability comps Coached by Zain Ishmael, MC’d & judged by Richie Crago & there’s free coaching on the main park with Frankie Lanni
2pm – Main park warm up 🔥
2:30–4pm – Full park competition Age & ability groups, possible heats, prizes throughout, Best Trick Comp judged by Frankie & Zain
4pm – Event ends, pack down & litter pick, let’s leave our park spotless!

Penzance is soaring today as the streets burst into colour for this year’s theme: Forever Flying High. 1 PM DINNER PARADE
From giant creations to joyful school banners, dancers, bands and bold community spirit, the parades are sweeping through town with all the midsummer magic that makes Mazey Day unforgettable. The energy is sky high, the crowds are buzzing, and Penzance is shining in full festival glory.
If you’re in town, step out, cheer loud, and be part of the celebration. If you’re watching from afar, Mazey love is flying your way. 💛

Mazey Day is in full swing and this morning’s Civic Procession has taken to the streets, soaring with this year’s theme, Forever Flying High!
From St John’s Hall, up Clarence Street, down through Causewayhead and along Market Jew Street, the town was alive with colour, music and community pride. Crowds are lining the route as the Mayor and Mock Mayor make their way to Market House to address Penzance in true Golowan style.
Banners are lifting, spirits are high, and Penzance is shining brighter than ever. 💛 Happy Mazey Day - Forever Flying High!
